After helping Santa collect during his trips round Ashford, we were delighted to be presented with a cheque for £300 from Ashford Lions.
A fantastic group of student midwives from Canterbury Christchurch joined us for a workshop looking at baby loss from a number of angles. We talked about the numbers of babies dying (15 a day) and some of the reasons for babies dying and looked at how each of us could support families, using a film ('The Deafening Silence') and personal experiences to start the conversation. We looked at the new National Bereavement Care Pathways and we were able to hand out printed copies of one of the summaries. We also looked at the support available both within the NHS and from organisations like Sands. And finally we tal
